BRAKE: VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Activate the Brake Ejector VSV.

(b) Disconnect the hose (connected to the air cleaner) from the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.





(c) Start the engine.

(d) Using the Techstream, turn off the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly (Brake Ejector VSV: CLOSE).

(e) Use your finger to confirm that the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly has no suction.

(f) Using the Techstream, turn on the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly (Brake Ejector VSV: OPEN).

(g) Use your finger to confirm that the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly has suction.
