BRAKE: VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly for an open circuit.

(1) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(b) Check the operation of the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to port F as shown in the illustration. If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.





(2) Apply battery positive voltage across the terminals.





(3) Check that air flows from port E to port F as shown in the illustration. If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.
