Accelerator Pedal: Testing and Inspection

2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ACCELERATOR PEDAL: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD

(a) Measure the voltage.

(1) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(3) Turn the Techstream on.

(4) Select the menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Accel Sensor Out No. 1, Accel Sensor Out No. 2.

(5) Operate the accelerator pedal, and then check that the Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2 values are within the specifications.

If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal rod, wire harness or ECM.
