EB62 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove it.





9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal

11. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL Removal

12. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX POCKET Removal

15. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET Removal

16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Removal

18. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Removal

19. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the 2 clips and remove the 2 screws and No. 1 console box mounting bracket.





20. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the end of the transmission control cable.





(b) Pull out the control cable assembly lock.





(c) Turn the adjusting nut 180° clockwise. While holding the adjusting nut, separate the control cable assembly.





21. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever assembly.
