DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof control ECU) has not been initialized.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Check that the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized Programming and Relearning.

OK:

Sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly can be initialized.

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR - OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK SLIDING ROOF FUNCTION

(a) Check the auto operation with the OPEN, CLOSE, UP and DOWN switches On-Vehicle Inspection.

OK:

Auto operation operates normally with OPEN, CLOSE, UP and DOWN switches.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

OK -- END

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR - OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK)

(a) Disconnect the Q13 and Q6 connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL SWITCH)

(a) Remove the roof console box assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL SWITCH)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
