DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU detects the condition of the front door courtesy light switch assembly (driver's side).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

(c) Turn the tester on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the tester.

Main Body:





OK:

ON (Driver's door is open) appears on the screen.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the driver's side front door courtesy light switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU)

(a) Disconnect the E7 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
