Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

STEERING COLUMN: STEERING LOCK SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK FOR DTCS

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(d) Turn Techstream on.

(e) Check for DTCs. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Trouble Codes.

(f) Confirm the details of the DTCs Steering Lock System.

2. CLEAR DTCS

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(d) Turn Techstream on.

(e) Clear the DTCs. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Trouble Codes.

(f) According the display on Techstream, select the trouble code data display with the clear button.

(g) Turn the engine switch off.

(h) Disconnect Techstream from the DLC3.
