Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

2AR-FE STARTING: SMART KEY SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menu : Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Code.

(e) Read the DTC by following the prompts on the Techstream.

Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menu : Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Code.

(e) Clear the DTC by following the directions on the Techstream.
